Bryan Janz

Bryan Janz is a Canadian entrepreneur and CEO of Lexcom Systems Group Inc. Bryan found his passion for technology and devoted much of his life to understanding the fundamentals of IT. This passion for IT lead Bryan to found Lexcom in 1996. By the age of 21, Bryan had realized that most small to medium sized organizations did not have proper controls in place around IT. Bryan developed the SMART services framework with the goal of positioning companies to better utilize technology to suite their business needs.

Bryan Janz was Lexcom’s founding CEO and grew the company to more than 20 people before moving to his role as President in April 2009. In April 2010, Bryan was reappointed to the position of President & CEO and continues to share the running of Lexcom’s day-to-day operations with Garry Janz.

Bryan’s love of computers began when he was six years old. The son of a SaskTel employee, Bryan began developing computer software on his Atari computer at age eight. Over the years, Bryan’s fascination with computers expanded into the communications field, when, at 19, he obtained Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer status. By 21, Bryan had expanded his knowledge base, obtaining certifications from Cisco, Citrix and IBM.

Bryan’s second passion was business, and he founded Lexcom Computers in 1996. In 1998, Bryan began consulting for Paradigm Consulting Group Inc., where he began consulting for the provincial government and numerous health districts in Saskatchewan. In 2001, Bryan decided to leave Paradigm and found Lexcom Systems Group Inc. with his brother, Garry Janz.

From 2001 to 2008, Bryan lead technical integration efforts to consolidate of Saskatchewan executive government departments into the ITO. This lead to the ITO winning a Gold award for Government Technology Excellence.

In 2009, Bryan was nominated as Young Entrepreneur of the Year by Saskatchewan Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs. He is also an active member of the MSP Alliance, which strives to improve the overall quality of managed service providers around the world.
